Manual adjustment is the core of chiropractic care. Dr. Milad applies precise, controlled pressure by hand to the spine and joints to restore motion and ease discomfort. Research suggests spinal manipulation may produce modest improvements in back and neck pain, often comparable to other first-line options such as anti-inflammatory medication.
The clinic uses an adjustment table with drop-away segments. Sections of the table raise slightly and release as pressure is applied, assisting the adjustment with a gentle mechanical drop. The drop absorbs part of the force, which allows an effective adjustment with less pressure on the patient.

What a session is like

Manual adjustment is not right for every situation, so Dr. Milad screens each patient first. Seek immediate medical care for a sudden severe headache, neck pain with dizziness or slurred speech, weakness or numbness in the arms or legs, or any loss of bladder or bowel control.

Common questions
Does the popping sound mean something is cracking?
No. The sound is gas releasing within the joint fluid as motion is restored, similar to knuckles popping. Nothing is cracking or breaking, and the sound itself is harmless.
What does the drop table do?
Sections of the table raise slightly and release during the adjustment. The drop assists the movement so the same result is achieved with less force, which makes the adjustment more comfortable.
Is it safe to be adjusted after a car accident?
Dr. Milad evaluates every patient before any adjustment and tailors care to the injury. If an area is not ready for adjustment, other therapies are used first until it is.
